Excellent nutrition book. Written in a language that is understandable to the common reader. Very well laid out and easy to skip back and forth for more in-depth discussion of interesting topics. Lots of charts are really appreciated. I've tagged several for easy future reference. The 2011 revision makes the material up to date. I highly recommend this book to people who believe nutrition is important for both people and their companion dog and/or cat.

My New Favorite Reference Book

I haven't digested it all yet, but every time I start into this book I find more information that I want, need, and will use to make a well designed diet for our active hunting dogs.
It's a MUST HAVE for dog lovers who understand the limitations of feeding a kibble and/or canned diet. Helps keep you from making mistakes in your dog's diet that could cost you his health and his longevity.
