A treasure trove of Cowboys insider information.

I have been a Cowboys fan since 1978, when I was 6. I have read about 5 Cowboys books in my life, but this one is the most explosive. Skip Bayless is certainly biased here, but the amount of dirt he dishes up on the Boys' is incredible. A must read for any serious cowboys fan.

the good and the bad

This book was written after the Cowboys won the Super Bowl in 1992. It tells some of the behind scenes goings on between Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson who publicly looked like they were building a Super team. And had a perfect owner coach relationship. But privately were butting heads. Of course after their second Super Bowl the next year was when everything came apart. This is a good book. I know the author Skip Bayless wrote for The Dallas newspaper. But I dont think he was as close to the team as he wants you to think. But the thing with this team is as great as it was. You cant help but wonder what might have been.

This book has been widely panned as being highly embellished. Skip doesn't have real inside info about the cowboys. There are plenty of other books that are better about the cowboys

Anna P. Reynolds is a retired instructor of medical technology and a research coordinator at the College of Agriculture at Auburn University. She taught both hospital and university Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Technician, and Medical Laboratory Assistant programs. Her experience includes clinical and research experience in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, parasitology, and immunology.

Norma J. Walters, RN, PhD, retired as an Associate Professor, Teacher Educator and Coordinator of Health Occupations from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama.

ILOOOOOOOOVE this book! Its amazing and super easy to follow, to the point, goes into detail with out way to much overshelming detail. Has labs at end of each chapter! Is an intro to all areas of working in a lab, Why cant all my books be so awesome! I wish my current instructor could use something like this! WONDERFUL!!! :O) I can say more only I am sure you have the idea! :O) PS I LOVE THIS BOOK! :O)

Not an "Ultimate Guide" - more a "Very First Introduction"

I am formally diagnosed with Avoidant Personality Disorder (AvPD). I fit all the DSM qualifying criteria to a tee. I have read books by Millon (x5), Benjamin (x2), Young (x2), Linehan, Kantor, Beck et al on personality disorders, as well as various other less informed and less directed authors. I met with 25 psychochologists/psychiatrists inside and outside hospitals, and had hundreds of counselling sessions - all on this topic. In addition, I have analysed and obsessed over this topic for many years in an effort to get relief from the chronic and severe dysfunction I have.

This book touts itself as "The Ultimate Guide". This is utterly untrue. It is, at best, "A First Introduction" - I personally gained nothing from it. The book is 68 pages of large print, double spaced on small pages. It can be read and fully absorbed in well under an hour. It has just 2 references - both come from a single website. The contents of the book itself are representative of this dearth of research. It consists of generalities again and again. For example at one stage it says something like "your therapy may be once or twice a week, or more or less than this". This statement is near meaningless - it covers all possibilities! Unfortunately the book itself is like this throughout - covering all possibilities, not ruling anything in or out, and not making any insight. Where it does make a good suggestion, this is happened on by chance in a list of possibilities. There is no indication the author knows the "good" from the "bad".

The book was cheap - it cost me something like $12. Although it has no insights, I can see it as having merit for someone who is completely unfamiliar with personality disorders and clinical psychology. It reviews the diagnostic criteria (albeit symptoms, not underlying causes), and presents various options for treatment that have been touted that the beginner can then read more about from more informed sources.

For me, "The Ultimate Guide" remains Lorna Smith Benjamin, whose books provided enormous insight into my personality disorder (and effective treatement) far beyond any other source I have encountered (either in print or in person). Her books, however, are not aimed for the lay reader. To appreciate them fully a lot of groundwork needs to be done in terms of learning about all the 14 officially-recognised personality disorders in terms of the personality modes that we use everyday. I don't know of a good single source for this. However I can say Martin Kantor's earlier book, although flawed and disordered, has many excellent concrete examples of AvPD. So, for those wishing to absorb about how AvPD looks like in real life, this is one place to try next.

This book has some pretty good information in it

This book has some pretty good information in it, but it's very poorly written and therfore hard to read. There clearly was no skilled editor involved. Unfortunately, I'm noticing more and more books like this on amazon lately - - written by amateurs in a weekend or. Low quality. Short. Disappointing.

I have been struggling with "something " forever it seems and I have read a lot of books on mental illnesses. Many of the books described me somewhat, but , this book I feel was written just for me! Every page read like I wrote the book myself. I finally am having some sort of hope. I am gonna talk to my psychiatric doctor about this. So far I have only been treated for my depression and now I realize it's much more then that! Thank you for this book.

Great series, just loves the characters

Ahh, I've missed the gang, Hate being busy, not having enough time to read; but its great to know that if you've missed a few weeks you can dive straight back into the characters.

Arsen is struggling dealing with the re-appearance of his mother, so pleased he has Silke and Ryan at his side. Then she drops the huge bombshell of half brothers, that certainly came out of left field.

Poor Slade, too tired! made me chuckle, he will be a great dad.

So relieved Sean made a full recovery, his return to work was special.

Theo & Dee, fingers crossed! Hope they are good friends first before anything else happens.

Oh Poor Lexie, tough dealing with Parents divorcing, especially under those circumstances BUT I so want to smack her upside the head, can't she see what she has with Conrad. It seems everyone else does including Jared, her ex.

I hope she comes to her senses, or I feel she will forever be lonely.

Jared and Beatrice, ahh I hope they can work it out, again everyone else can see it, why are they being so silly.

Loving how everyone keeps checking up on Skye, I did giggle with al the extra attention she is getting.

Why do i always seem to smile when there is a part written with slade and skye???? That fuy is unreal! I love the over protectiveness that family has over skye!!! Its sooo cute!!!

Poor Arsen! What an emotional mess! I do truly believe the mothers apology is real but the whole 1/2 brother thing is a slap in the face! I so not know how he is going to get over that but i am hoping that he does forgive her. I have a feeling she might be really sick and he will regret it if he doesnt make up with her. Its really quite the journey he has been through! I didnt realize the abuse he had to endure with her. Sooo sad! And Ryan getting so emotional with having arsen replay his memories was upsetting!

What is in then suitcase cayson brought home??????? I couldve sworn that girl put something illegal in there to sabatoge cayson making it on the plane. But once he cleared security i finally let go of the breathe i sidnt know i was holding! I have a feeling somethjng is going to go down with whatever was in there and skye will not be happy. I hope she has a good pregnancy.

Lexie and conrad are in for a doozy!!! I hope she changes her mind about marriage because the really are perfect together.

Wish there was a 3 and a half stars! I love the story lines but the stories are so slow going! I liked the Cayson and Skye reunion but I hope there isn't anything that Laura put into Cayson's bag that will cause any friction between them. They've been thru enough!!!! I feel sorry for Arson. I hope only good things come from this situation. And That he can handle all the emotional stress that comes with it! Still love Slade! So we had to wait 2 weeks for this and I guess I expected more. And now 2 more weeks! 154 pages actually wrapped up in about half of that!

I received this book as a gift and am extremely thankful to have it. Migration is one of the most fascinating aspects of birds, and this author has apparently spent a lifetime researching the subject, so the depth and breadth of knowledge shared here is extraordinary. You'll also appreciate the clarity and tone of his writing, something not all scientific writers get right. This is a trustworthy, comprehensive reference that is an absolute pleasure to read. Highly recommend--if you're buying this as a gift for someone and you love birds, too, you should order two, because it will be hard to part with this.
